Is there a place you have always wanted to visit?

Hello everyone!

Traveling around de world it’s a big dream that I have. I would like to visit India, countries of Europe and of course The United States. But if I would have choose one country in special I think that would be England, because it’s the birthplace of a lot of great musicians like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Blur, Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin and many many more artists, it’s a large list! I also traveling because the people say  - on the internet or the tv - it’s a country so beautiful, with many places to see and the people there it’s so funny. Really I don’t know much about England but I like that condition because if I would go I going to learn through my own experiences. The first I would do is the typical touristic things, for example I would visit go to museums and historic buildings, I also eat a lot of fish and chips and apple pie, the traditional foods. Finally I would like know the nocturne life, how are the parties, the pubs, the common drinks and the young people dynamic.  Then I would go to London for take the double – decker buses and take photos to the guardians of Buckingham Palace, hahaha.  I would work and live in England, exactly London, because I could walk along the streets which in one moment were step on by John Lennon! I hope that all the things I said come true someday! :D

Hello !! How are you? Today I’m going to talk you about cine, I hope you enjoy it like me (:

My relation with the cine is in some way ambivalent I mean I like watch movies but usually I haven’t the time for sit me and watch a movie… It’s so sad. Until this moment I have a long list with many films to watch and also I am practicing a technique which consist in watch some movie without matter the time it go on or how free time I have the point is watch it all I can and take up again without let happen much days.

Regarding to place to watch films I think that it depends of the movie. For example if is  a movie so good for me or that I’m waiting it for much time the ideal will be go to the cinema for watch it. On the other part if is a movie to watch with a nice company and have a good moment together with someone I prefer the movie at home.

Well the big question is what is my favourite movie… It’s hard to decide but I guess that one of my favourites movies is “The Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock definitely. It about a mother - Lydia - who doesn’t accept the romance between her son - Mitch -and a woman - Melanie -  because she thinks that Melanie will steal her son. In some way Lydia is a jealous mother and all the girlfriends are for her a threat because it means that Mitch let her alone. But, why is it called “The Birds”? Because when Melanie arrives at town where living Mitch, Lydia and his little sister - Cathy - also arrive birds (seagulls, ravens, pigeon, etc) and with the over time they were more and more. The object of these birds is attack to Melanie of way that they appear around the place where she stays, attacking at the same time to the people. Finally Lydia accepts to Melanie and her loving relationship with Mitch and the birds attack disappear.

The principal cast is constituted for Tippi Hedren (Melanie Daniels), Rod Taylor (Mitch Brenner), Jessica Tandy  (Lydia Brenner), and Veronica Cartwright  (Cathy Brenner)

I like so much this film because has a reading psychology where the birds represent the energy and wishes of the mother, the feeling alone and abandonment. I recommend this film because it’s interesting and was made by a big director.

Bye! see you soon!

Placebo: an intelligent alternative

Hello everyone! today I talk you about an article that I found in the web site of The Guardian - a newspaper of London.

The article is about placebo effect on our body and mind. Has from other study that 97% of 783 medical generals had prescribed placebo or treatments without effective results; in resume it is in all medical intervention. The good news is that in 1955 a Beecher’s study shows that third part of patient was satisfied with the placebo’s affect.

The interesting of the text is that it declares that the placebo effect it’s just part of the treatment because the other part is doctor’s disposition. This means that the doctor is an influence to us but anyway the reputation, charisma and convictions of him are factors that play an important role to believe him or not and convince us. Is probably these variables were not considered in the Beecher’s results. This way if the doctor’s suggestions convert us in optimist persons this will reflect in the disorder’s development. It’s like if our positive predispositions to illness working like prophecies. Finally is a self-recovery, because our mind stimulates our bodies.

More recently, in 2004, Wager explained the placebo effect at level brain – thanks to MRI – that had a control group then use a placebo cream which take away pain. This way discovered that active the prefrontal cortex which may be also is responsible of the liberation of opioids that calm the pain in the middle brain, besides of the reduction of sensitivity in the affected area.
